YEN TING CHO Studio produces unique artworks, installations and contemporary designs for luxury fashion accessories, interiors and exteriors. Our work blurs the boundaries between art, design and fashion.

Established in east London in 2016, we moved into our Taipei studio HQ and public gallery in 2023. We also have a studio in London, with a publishing house (established in 2020). As we enter a new phase of our development, we are seeking partners to help us go expand our global reach and international partnerships.

#Requirements

Graduates from architectural design, graphic, fashion, space, and product design-related majors, with basic drawing and communication skills, ideally AutoCAD operation, and drawing reading skills. Familiar with Adobe software, 3D modeling and rendering (not limited to software; Rhino and Grasshopper are especially preferred), familiar with hand-made operation, knowledge of common material properties and experience in product processingand digital manufacturing.

Our internationally-facing projects require ambition, broad thinking, high-stress resistance, ability to communicate effectively and R&D skills, as well as good level of written and spoken English.
  

#Requirements

【Education】

Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Architectural Design, Digital Arts, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Spatial Design, Applied Arts, or Information Management.

【Essential Skills】

1. Proficient in Adobe software, 3D modeling and rendering (software not limited, Grasshopper preferred).
2. Basic engineering drawing, communication skills, AutoCAD operation and drawing interpretation skills.
3. Proficient in hand tools, knowledge of common material properties, product processing and digital manufacturing experience.
4. Basic programming skills are a plus, especially in the design process.

#Job Description 

Primarily involved in design and manufacturing, including but not limited to:

1. Public art project.
2. Interactive Pattern Design.
3. Spatial design.
4. Visual communication design.
5. Fashion Accessory Design.
6. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

#Salary 

Monthly salary 34,000 - 50,000, including labour and health insurance. No formal work experience is required. Probation period is 3 months, with full salary. Also expect three-festival gift money and performance & year-end bonus.

* Professional titles and salaries will be determined based on academic qualifications and work experience.

#Office Hours

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. If temporary activities or special circumstances require working on holidays or weekends, additional leave will be coordinated. We cooperate with our London studio/press and many international partners; long-distance communication is the norm; our staff can expect a high degree of freedom which requires self-discipline.

#Location

Our Taiwan studio is very close to Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station in Da'an District, Taipei City.

#Other notes

▸ Labor insurance/health insurance/maternity leave/labor retirement fund
▸ Year-end bonus are assessed and distributed based on the studio's operational performance and staff's work performance in the previous year. However, the first-year-end bonus for newly hired staff will be calculated proportionally based on their attendance days and distributed in the following year.
▸ Participation in international events such as trade shows, exhibitions, and project meetings.
